A fantastic few days at the CADASIL meeting held in Paris. Promising work and committed researchers to advance in the approach and understanding of the disease. A great opportunity to participate in this meeting, presenting the line of research of our group, focused on the development of a cellular model that reproduces in vitro the pathways altered in the disease that will allow us to explore new treatments or therapeutic targets in the future.

The 18th International Conference on Brain Edema and Cellular Injury was recently held as part of the 11th International Symposium on Neuroprotection and Neurorepair in Potsdam, Germany, from November 18 to 20, 2024. The conference focused on advanced research into brain edema, cellular injury, and mechanisms related to neuroprotection.

The program included sessions on topics such as neuroinflammation, drug delivery to the brain, neuronal plasticity, and advances in therapies for ischemic stroke and brain injuries.

We had the opportunity to present the communication: “New Advances in Experimental Thrombolytic Formulations for the Treatment of Ischaemic Stroke.”

Members of the TREAT group traveled to Basel to attend the 10th European Stroke Organisation Conference – ESOC 2024, held from May 15-17.

Ana Bugallo, one of our predoctoral students, had the pleasure of presenting her poster titled: “Generation of Human iPSCs with Exonic Variants from CADASIL Patients and Proteomic Comparative Analysis.” Additionally, Dr. María Pérez presented one of our studies digitally, titled: “Preclinical Multicenter Comparison Between Tenecteplase and Alteplase for Acute Stroke.”
